Range Rover Sport Pros & Cons
✓ What's Good
- In Pakistan, a Range Rover Sport commands a level of instant respect and elite status that almost no other vehicle can match. Its sleek, minimalist, "reductive" design language looks futuristic, clean, and aggressively wealthy.
- The dynamic air suspension coupled with advanced acoustic glass turns long-distance travel (like the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway) into a seamless, completely isolated experience. You glide over bumps with zero tire or wind noise.
- With Land Rover's legendary Terrain Response 2 and integrated Wade Sensing, the car can safely drive through deep standing water during heavy monsoon city flooding that would instantly drown and destroy luxury sedans or low-clearance German sports cars.
- If you purchase the BMW-sourced 4.4L Twin-Turbo V8 engine variant, it delivers a massive 530 horsepower. It launches this massive 2.5-ton fortress from $0\text{ to }100\text{ km/h}$ in just 4.5 seconds, making it faster than many actual sports cars on the road.
- Hyper-Advanced Rear Wheel Steering: Standard on top-tier trims, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction of the front wheels at low speeds. This dramatically shrinks the turning radius, allowing you to navigate tight, chaotic city lanes and squeeze into cramped commercial parking spaces with absolute ease.
✗ What's Not Good
- This is an incredibly complex, highly computerized British machine. Routine oil/filter servicing is highly expensive, and unexpected repairs—like replacing a blown air suspension strut or an electronic control module—can easily cost hundreds of thousands of PKR.
- he gorgeous factory 22-inch or 23-inch alloy wheels fitted with thin, low-profile performance tires are a massive liability locally. Hitting a single deep, unexpected pothole at high speed will instantly crack the expensive alloy rim or cause a dangerous tire sidewall bubble.
- The high-performance P530 V8 gets an average of just $4.5\text{ to }5.5\text{ km/L}$ in bumper-to-bumper city traffic. Furthermore, it strictly requires high-purity Premium High-Octane (97+ HOBC); feeding it standard, low-quality local petrol will immediately cause engine knocking and power loss.
- Local auto markets do not stock spare parts for this generation of Range Rover. Apart from basic oil filters, if a unique electrical sensor, body panel, or headlight matrix fails, the parts must be flown in from Dubai or the UK, meaning your expensive car could sit useless in a workshop for up to a month.
- Electronic Faults & Glitchy Software: Even though the build quality is vastly improved, the 13.1-inch Pivi Pro screen and complex 48V electrical architecture are globally notorious for random bugs. Screen freezes, Bluetooth dropouts, and false dashboard error alerts triggered by minor battery voltage dips are highly common.

Should You Buy the RR Sport HSE D350?
The RR Sport HSE D350 sits in the middle of the Range Rover Sport range — typically the best value sweet spot. Compared to the RR Sport S D300 below it (Rs. 7.80 Cr cheaper), this variant adds meaningful features that justify the extra cost for most buyers. The RR Sport P530 V8 above costs Rs. 3.70 Cr more — worth considering if those additional features matter to you.
